Vegesna Foundation Charity Event - October 6th 2007

TAGKC organized a charity event to raise funds for Vegesna Foundation who serve differently abled kids in India. The event was a success and was possible due to the generous donations given by Telugu people living in and around Kansas City. A few thousand dollars were donated. The event was attended by Sr. Vamsi Ramaraju and Ghantasala Aradhanotsavam concert was performed by Sri G.V Prabhakar, Smt. Mani Shastry, Sri. Viswamohan Ammula. Sri. Srinivas Kotipalli & Smt. Sirisha Manchella were emcees for the program. Vamsi Suvvari gave Vote of Thanks. TAGKC thanks all volunteers for making this program a great success and helping the kids in need.

KVC Kids Birthdays - September 30th 2007

September Birthdays at KVC were done on the 30th. TAGKC & KVC sincerely appreciate Smt.Saritha & Sri.Ram Guduputi, Smt.Lalitha, Smt.Madhu Bindu & Sri.Rangarao Tummala, Nitin, Ajay, Sunkeerth, Manaswini for sponsoring the event. 2 boys and 2 girls birthdays were celebrated. Total of about 50 kids and 8 staff were present. Ram Guduputi said "It was amazing opportunity to sponsor those little children's birthday party. I know we can't help them enough, but it does give some hope in their lives. I feel good to know that TAGKC could make a difference by supporting such organizations like KVC."

KVC Kids Birthdays - August 26th 2007

August Birthdays at KVC were done on the 26th. TAGKC & KVC sincerely appreciate Smt.Raji, Sri Sateesh Nandigama, Sathvik, Smt.Raji's parents for sponsoring the event, Sri.Vishal Adma's mother, Vidyasagar for attending and supporting the event. 3 boys and a girl's birthdays were celebrated. Total of about 50 kids and 8 staff were present. Sateesh said "We felt very happy celebrating Saathvik's birthday over there and thanks for giving that opportunity". Dr. Vishal Adma wrote "KVC Children Birthday Celebrations every month appear to be gaining popularity with the children and staff. Some children come to me and say, Hey Dr. Adma, my birthday is coming up next month, as if he/she is looking forward towards being part of this celebration. I appreciate the committment of the telugu's in Kansas City, and the leadership of TAGKC to make this program a success."

KVC Kids Birthdays - July 28th 2007

July Birthdays at KVC were done on the 28th. TAGKC & KVC sincerely appreciate Smt.Madhavi Gangadhara, Mr.Pawan, Sathvik, Smt.Neelima & Mr.Satish Gudaru, Smt.Saritha & Mr.Ram Guduputi for sponsoring the event. 2 boys and 4 girls birthdays were celebrated. Total of 40 kids and 6 staff were present. Dr. Vishal Adma wrote "last week, the Governers Task Form for Mental Health Advocacy toured KVC. Our staff mentioned about Telugu Association and their involvement with the children doing "Yoga for Kids" and the "Monthly Birthday Celebration". They were very delighted to hear about our community being involved in this type of service"

Children of Mr. Kailash, Shashank & Karthik helped serve food to the KVC kids. 2 boys and 2girls birthdays were celebrated. Total of 40 kids and 6 staff were present. Dr. Vishal Adma said "Thank you for your ongoing support and willingness to support bring into the lives of these troubled children. Your generosity is appreciated."

May Birthdays at KVC were done on the 20th. TAGKC & KVC sincerely appreciate Venkat & Sowjanya Rao, members of TAGKC for sponsoring the event. Their kids Pranav & Srinidhi helped serve food to the KVC kids. 5 boys and a girl's birthdays were celebrated. Total of 40 kids and 6 staff were present. Venkat said "Thank you for the opportunity to be part of today's event. I sincerely appreciate TAGKC's efforts to give back to the society."

KVC Kids Birthdays - April 15th 2007

First Birthdays of the year at KVC was done on the 15th of April. It was very well received by the staff and children at KVC. Matt Loehr (President, Hospital/Residential Division) has expressed "special thanks" to all the members involved in bringing these programs to KVC. TAGKC Trust board member Dr. Vishal Adma who coordinated the Birthdays at KVC said "I know that all of your time is valuable and I appreciate every effort that you are putting in to make these programs a success. I feel proud to be a part of an organization which is involved in these types of activities in the community." Kids were left out of the pictures for privacy reasons. Birthdays were attended by Satish Gudaru, Kailash Krishnamurthy, Vishal & Jyotsna Adma & Vamsee Malini Kakumanu. Cakes, Food and Gifts to kids were sponsored by Venu Muluka, Subbarao Thota, Sugandhi Shankar, Srinivas Reddy Kakumanu & Ranga Vadlamudi.

Harvesters Food Drive - March 24th 2007

TAGKC & Harvesters would like to Thank each one you for your participation in the Harvesters Food drive. 640 pounds of non-perishable food was collected which equates to 492 meals.

Ugadi & Diwali Cooking Drive - April 1st 2006 & October 14th 2006

Food for TAGKC Ugadi Utsavalu and Diwali Night for the year of 2006 for an average of 300 people was cooked by a group of Telugu speaking people living around the Kansas City area and proceeds collected from the Drive were donated to two patients in India for their heart surgeries. The cost for the cooking of $1000 was picked up by Satish Gudaru and the collections totalled $3730. TAGKC thanks each one of the following volunteers who contributed to making this charity drive a grand success.

United Way Day of Caring June 2006

United Way’s 12th Annual Day of Caring: the theme was “I’ll be there for you.” On Saturday, June 24, Board of Public Utilities employees (BPU) and Telugu Association of Greater Kansas City were there for Mental Health Association of the Heartland. Read about the activity.

Tsunami Drive Jan 2005

TAGKC collected $4,500 in January 2005 for Tsunami victims in India. $2,000 were collected during Sankranthi celebrations. The money was distributed through Ramakrishna mission, India in Tsunami affected areas.
